The portrayal of the female subject occurs throughout the body of my work. Within each photographic series, I am able to use her body as a language to gain access to the invisible renderings of the psyche. By placing the female subject in scenes of the normal and the everyday, I attempt to represent the emergence of a psychical reality imposed upon the real. Within the safety of my work, I am able to escape from reality into fantasy and the irrational, to challenge boundaries and to promote questions rather than answers.
